Redondo Beach Community Relief Fund
The Redondo Beach Community Relief Fund was initially established to provide holiday meals for needy Redondo Beach families; however, it soon grew into what it is today.
"The Community Relief Fund was established more than 20 years ago, it has evolved to help people who have been displaced from their homes due to a catastrophic event. "Simply put the Redondo Beach Firefighters Community Relief Fund exists to assist the citizens of Redondo Beach in their time of need” said Mahoney the head of the committee. The fund is used to provide lodging for up to 72 hours for Redondo Beach residents who can’t stay in their homes. In addition the fund provides gift cards to stores such as Target so residents can purchase essential items."Mooradian, Nicole.
